How Does IPL Work?
A photofacial is completed at our Radnor, PA office in about 20 – 30 minutes in our minor procedures room if no other treatments are performed. To prepare for the IPL facial, the technician will clean and dry the skin to be treated before covering your eyes with special shields. The IPL is performed using a handheld wand that will pass over the skin while emitting pulses of light energy. While most patients will feel some discomfort throughout the photofacial, it is usually bearable, given the quick treatment time.
